Ice Energy has signed a five-year contract to provide 5 megawatts of thermal energy storage to Riverside Public Utilities. The company’s systems will be used to reduce peak energy usage for the City of Riverside. Ice Energy’s systems freeze ice at night, during off-peak power times, and use that ice during the day for cooling.
